PolyVivo AK10 nanoparticles with PEGylated surface

Recent report published by Ebbesen et. al. shows impact of co-formulation methoxy poly(ethylene glycol)-b-poly(lactide-co-glycolide) (5000-10000Da) (PolyVivo AK10) with PLGA (Medisorb 2A: 13kDa 53:47 LA:GA) on the resultant nanoparticle formulations at 0%(control), 6%, 30% w/w (AK10/PLGA).  Table below shows resulting data obtained from these nanoparticles.

Additionally the AK10 incorporating and control nanoparticles were tested against RAW 264.7 macrophage cells for cellular uptake and the AK10 incorporating particles were observed to have 70% less cellular uptake than control PLGA nanoparticles.  For more information check out the article: Ebbesen, M.
