Some PolySciTech (www.polyscitech.com)
products which are not DCM soluble can not be currently assayed in-house for
molecular weight by GPC due to the solvent limitations of our GPC setup. For
these products we often provide on demand the inherent viscosity of the polymer
which can be utilized to achieve the molecular weight by the Mark-Houwink
equation. For example the inherent viscosity of Poly(n-vinyl caprolactam) (PolyVivo
AO31) lot# 30315JSG is 0.327 with a standard deviation of 0.002 (N=3, 30C,
