PolyVivo AV09 is rhodamine endcapped polymer which appears to be a dark, red solid. This polymer exhibits fluorescence similar to rhodamine B which is abs ~540nm emmision ~565nm allowing it to be vissualized on fluorescence imaging devices such as microscopes. Its usage is highly similar to PLGA-Fluorescein in that it can be used to track the location of polymer systems. It's application is extended however in multi-stained systems where there may be another material which fluoresces in the FITC region already that needs to be seperated from the polymer system.
