Gullotti et. al. mixed PLGA with a PolyVivo AK30 (mPEG-PLGA 5000-4000, www.polyscitech.com) at a 75:25 ratio and processed via sonication-emulsion into nanoparticles for drug delivery. When loaded with fluorescent PLGA-FITC the particles had an average size of 179.8nm with a zeta potential of -11.2. When loaded with paclitaxel the particles had an average size of 248.8nm and a zeta potential of -7.5 with an average PTX load of 20.6% (w/w%).
